Schiava

Schiava

Growing area:
Val di Cembra, steep terraced vineyards in the finest south-facing sites

Pergola

Characteristics:
Schiava appears in a light to medium ruby red. The nose opens with fruity aromas of cherries, raspberries and strawberries, accompanied by fine violet notes and a subtle almond tone on the finish. On the palate it is light to medium-bodied, fruit-driven, gentle and soft. Restrained tannins make it pleasantly drinkable and give the wine an especially approachable, harmonious character.

5 to 6 years

12–14 °C

Food pairing:
This Schiava is an excellent partner for cold starters, charcuterie and cheese platters, as well as traditional regional dishes. It accompanies light to medium-bodied meat dishes, poultry, pasta and dumpling specialities, and hearty soups. It also harmonises beautifully with mild cheeses.
